Moyle Primary School & Nursery Unit, Larne

About Our Nursery

Our Nursery Unit is a happy place in which learning and achievement is celebrated in a caring and nurturing environment.  All children are respected as individuals and their specific needs are provided in a wholistic manner by enthusiastic and friendly staff.

We recognise parents as the child’s first educator and value parental partnerships as critical in improving outcomes for all our children.  The timetable is balanced to ensure that children develop in all areas of the pre-school curriculum.  Children access the fun outdoor learning area daily and all activities are planned in accordance with the children’s interests.

Throughout the year the children take part in several fun events: a teddy toddle, sports day, family day and Christmas Storytelling evening.

After a ‘Sustaining Good Practice’ inspection in October 2015, the quality of teaching in our Nursery was described as ‘Outstanding.’.  The Education and Training Inspectorate and the Education Authority use our nursery as an example of best practice.

Our Nursery Unit is led by Mrs Julianne Greer.  She is supported by Mrs Shiree Brennan and Mrs Sharon McIlhinney.
